The little shop of horrors is an American black comedy horror movie directed by Roger Corman and written by Charles B. Griffith. The movie is based on a story from 1932 called "Green Thoughts" written by John Collier. The film stars Jonathan Haze, Jackie Joseph, Mel Welles, Dick Miller and Jack Nicholson.
Gravis Mushnick (Mel Welles) runs a florist shop, the employees are him, and two others. The sweet girl Audrey Fulquard (Jackie Joseph), and the clumsy stock boy Seymour Krelboyne (Jonathan Haze). Seymour loves flowers, as his home grown plant gets sick, he finds out that the plant feeds on blood, and human flesh.
I love these old movies, and this one was really funny. The humor in it is typically the 60s, and its cool how they mix it with the morbidness of Seymour feeding his plant with his own blood, and body parts of others. Also Jack Nicholson a fucked up person, who loves the pain of going to the dentist. All in all a really cool movie!
7 out of 10.
