Blood: The Last Vampire is a Japanese anime horror film. The movie is produced by Production I.G and SPE Visual Works and directed by Hiroyuki Kitakubo.
The story is set in 1966 Japan, where we follow the young vampire hunter named Saya. Saya is sent on a mission by the government to go undercover as a student at the Yokota High School on Halloween night to hunt down vampires.
It is many years since Ive first saw this movie, but this is a anime film that I actually think is pretty good. I like the gothic noir style of the movie, and the gloomy and dark settings. What Ive always found quite cool is how many details there are in these anime movies. Like the backgrounds. It is just so detailed. They really succeeded in making it gloomy. The plot is not too interesting I think, but they make it work. The movie is about 45 minutes long, and to me that is just perfect for a anime film for me.
I give the movie a 5 out of 10.
