Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory (2011)

"Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory" is a documentary film, and is the third and last movie in the Paradise Lost documentary trilogy. It is directed by Joe Berlinger and, Bruce Sinofsky.
Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin, and Jessie Misskelly Jr, has been imprisoned for 18 years for the murder of three young boys at Robin Hood Hills in West Memphis. Since the last movie "Paradise Lost 2: Revelations" Damien Echols defense team has hired some of the most renowned forensic scientists to collect DNA, and other evidence to prove Echols innocence. John Mark Byers has also finally understand that the West Memphis three in fact are innocent. This film also takes another turn, and evidence points against another one of the parents. Terry Hobbs the stepfather of Stevie Branch.

Another great sequel to the original "Paradise Lost". These three documentary movies are sure one hell of a story. The brutal murders of the three young kids, and all the hell that follows it. The whole documentary series is very strong and powerful, and I have to say the ending is kind of bittersweet. Even though the so-called West Memphis Three is released, it is long overdue. So many years of these guys was just ruined, and they spent 18 years of their lives behind bars, and being innocent. Also that very much of the newer evidence points to the stepfather Terry Hobbs, but still no one was arrested for the murders. We also get to see a John Mark Byers that are more "healthy" and has kind of "come back to Earth" a little. He tells us how he totally bought the story about Satanist occult cults, and ritual murders. But in this movie he shows a totally different side. This is a great ending to the trilogy!
10 out of 10.
