The Fourth Dimension (2012)

"The Fourth Dimension" is a independent film composed of three segments all made by different directors. The three directors are Harmony Korine, Jan Kwiecinski and, Aleksey Fedorchenko. It is a VICE movie and contain actors such as Val Kilmer.
The movie has three segments:
"The Lotus Community Workshop" (Harmony Korine)
"Chronoeye" (Aleksey Fedorchenko)
"Fawns" (Jan Kwiecinski)

The three short stories of the movie all have stories based on the fourth dimension.
"The Lotus Community Workshop" Val Kilmer has some weird cult thing going talking to people, making them see the fourth Dimension.

"Chronoeye" A Russian man is working on an experiment on time travel using cameras and satellites to see into the past and the future.

"Fawns" Four teens are fucking around a dead town that seems to be deserted because of a flood killing, leaving towns ruined and people killed.

I am a big fan of Harmony Korine, I mean he has made some weird ass cult movies such as "Gummo" and "Kids", but I feel that he has kind of lost his originality. I mean "Spring Breakers" and this, It is just not the good old Harmony Korine movies. It is an ok movie, and it makes me curious of the characters like Val Kilmer, but it is just not enough. I have seen all of Harmony Korine`s movies except this one I watched tonight. The movie has a kind of charm over it though, mystical, weird. But the last short movie in this film "Fawns" is much more Korine style than the first one that Harmony himself made "The Lotus Community Workshop". I was disappointed in this film to be honest.

4 out of 10.
