The Tell Tale Heart (1953)

I had a request for old horror cartoons so here is the first one!
The Tell Tale Heart is a animated horror movie from 1953 which is made by Ted Parmelee, James Mason and Fred Grable.
It is based on a short story with the same name, written by Edgar Allan Poe in 1843.
It is known as the first X rated cartoon in film history.

This is a story told through the eyes of a madman.
After a murder the madman’s guilt increases and makes
him believe that he can still hear the heartbeats of his victim
who is buried beneath the floorboards of his house.
Seen through the eyes of the madman the movie gives us
allot of surreal images from the disturbed mind of the killer.

This is a really creepy and weird cartoon,
and that is just what makes it so good.
And of course Edgar Allan Poe is a really good writer.
I like the way we hear and see the story through the
eyes of a psychotic person.
It is surreal cartoons like this I really like
it gets a 9 out of 10 score!
