Act Da Fool (2010)

Act da fool is a short film written and directed by Harmony Korine.

The movie is a series of 8MM vignettes, with a voice talking over the vignettes about their lives. A group of girls skulking around the schoolyard, tagging, drinking and smoking. The voice is explaining what the friends are usually doing in the "stinking" small town they live in.

I have always liked the movies by Harmony Korine. He is a really talented film maker. Ever since I saw Gummo I have been watching all of his movies. I like the way he makes his own kind of universe of weird people, and how everything is dirty, depressing and just weird. Korine is also very good at details, and making a big story out of very little, and the way he makes the characters really interesting. In my eyes Harmony Korine is a genius. Except the movie Trash Humpers, which was pure shit. I will review that movie later.
