Evil Ed is a Swedish Horror/comedy film directed by Anders Jacobsson, and co-written by Anders Jacobsson, Göran Lundström and Christer Ohlsson. The movie satires against the strict censorship the Swedish Statens biografbyrå (Cinemabureau of the state) ran from 1911 until 1996.
Edward Tor Swenson (Johan Rudebeck) is working as a movie editor, censoring violence and nudity in movies. The big shot movie man Sam Campbell (Olof Rhodin) hires Edward to work on the censor of his Loose Limbs series. The loose limbs series are very violent and sexual, and as Edward works on censoring them he eventually loses his mind.
This movie is really funny, I actually bought this on DVD from a friend of mine in high school, with coins I had saved up. I never get sick of this movie, even though I have seen it allot of times. It never gets old. Its cool how they combine the scary and creepy with some fucked up humor, and the special effects of the movie is actually not bad to be a B-movie. If you like horror/comedies I strongly recommend this one!
I give it a 7 out of 10.
