Eraserhead is an American surrealistic body horror film. It is written, directed and produced by the genius David Lynch. Lynch was still a film student when he made this movie. It is starring Jack Nance.
The movie tells the story of Henry Spencer (Jack Nance). He lives in some kind of industrial environment. Henry and his girlfriend Mary X (Charlotte Stewart) have gotten a grossly deformed child together. The kid will never stop crying. So Henry Spencer is trying to survive his angry girlfriend, and his deformed child´s awful screams.
David Lynch might be my favorite film maker of all time. Ever since I saw the first episode of Twin Peaks I have loved his work. This is Lynch`s first feature-length movie, and it really shows how much of a genius he is. David Lynch has an extremely talent for making these artsy movies with nightmarish atmosphere. This movie is so dark, and depressing, and I love that they made it in black and white, it really gives good vibes to the movie. This movie has received cult status, and for good reason. I really do like this movie! It is absolutely worth watching. Though it is not my favorite movie of Lynch
I give the movie a 8 out of 10.
