A Whole New Day is a shot comedy film, it stars James Gandolfini and is written and directed by William Garcia. It has a running time of 18 minutes
Vincent (James Gandolfini) wakes up on the floor of his apartment. He is hungover and disorientated. The only thing he has one him is his jacket, his cell phone, and cigarettes.
He sees that his wife Carol (Kathrine Narducci) has left a voice message on his phone, telling him that it is over, and she wants a divorce.
As Vincent gets up, he finds out that the apartment is completely empty, and he believe that his wife has taken everything. He gets a pack of cigarettes out of his jacket, but his lighter doesn´t work. So he goes to light it up at the stove, only to find out there is no gas eather.
He calls his friend Jimmy (Ned Eisenberg) to find out what the hell happened last night.
Vincent is frustrated because he lost his wife, his kids, and everything that he had in the apartment. Suddenly and unknown woman called Angela (Delilah Cotto) arrives.
Vincent do not understand what this woman is doing in his apartment.
A whole new day was actually a pretty funny short film, the plot was also pretty good.
James Gandolfini of course makes the whole movie worth watching, if it wasn´t for him, I believe the movie would not be anything at all. Although I used to watch The Sopranos, and seeing James Gandolfini automatically makes me thing of Anthony Soprano.
But James Gandolfini was an awesome actor.
The movie was enjoyable.
it gets the 5 out of 10.
