Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein (1948)

This is a very funny movie! In this movie comedy duo Bud Abbott and Lou Costello meet Count Dracula, Frankenstein`s Monster and the Wolf man. It is directed by Charles Barton.
This is the first in several movies where the comedy duo meet classic horror characters from the Universal`s movie stable.

Lawrence Talbot (Lon Chaney, Jr.) makes an urgent call to the Florida railway station, where Chick Young (Bud Abbott), and Wilbur Grey (Lou Costello) are working. Talbot is trying to warn them about a dangerous shipment that is suppose to be delivered at "McDougal`s House of Horrors". But while talking to Wilbur on the phone, the full moon rises and Talbot is turning into the Wolf man, before he manages to explain the danger to Wilbur.

Wilbur and Chick are going to the House of Horrors with the two crates that are containing the remains of Count Dracula (Bela Lugosi), and Frankenstein`s monester (Glenn Strange). Wilbur is scared like a chicken in the wax museum, and while Chick is outside, Count Dracula starts to awaken.

Dracula and the monster leaves the wax museum, Wilbur witnesses this, but he cannot get Chick to believe in him. They are arrested because McDougal believes that Chick and Wilbur stole the remains.

Wilbur and Chick are bailed out of jail, a woman made the bail. Chick and Wilbur believe that this woman was Dr. Sandra Mornay (Lenore Aubert), but in fact it was Joan Raymond (Jane Randolph) an undercover agent from McDougal`s insurance company.

Wilbur who has a date with Sandra to go to a masquerade party, also falls for Joan. This will be trouble when he suddenly has two dates. But still he refuses to give one of them to Chick. Wilbur also invites Joan to go on a date to the  masquerade party

Wilbur and Chick met Mr. Talbot at the hotel room they had, after they were bailed out of jail. Talbot told them that he was a werewolf, although the two didn´t believe him. He wanted them to help him find Count Dracula and the monster.

The night Wilbur, Chick and Joan goes to a castle, which is in fact Dracula`s castle, something they do not know anything about at this time. To pick up Sandra there. Sandra is working with Count Dracula, to get a new brain for the Monster.

Talbot, who tracked Dracula`s castle makes a call there, and Wilbur is the one to answer the phone. Talbot wants Wilbur and Chick to search the castle for the monster.

As they find the monster, and Dracula the two guys keeps getting into deeper problems.

Now this is the kind of comedy movies I like, this is much better than the dumbass Hollywood comedies they are making these days. It is a really entertaining movie. Abbott and Costello are two really funny guys, and I really like this kind of humor.

Abbott and Costello has other movies, and also a comedy show, but I really like these movies where they meet the Classic horror movie characters.

If you like horror comedy movies, this movie is really worth watching.

The score from me is 9 out of 10.
