Oldboy (2003)

Oldboy is the second movie of the vengeance trilogy. It is a South Korean Neo-noir mystery thriller movie. It is also directed by Park Chan-Wook, and it is based on a Japanese manga with the same name, written by Nobuaki Minegishi.
The story follows the businessman named Oh Dae-su (Choi Min-sik) which one night on his daughters 4th birthday, is arrested for drunkenness. His friend Joo-hwan (Ji Dae-han) picks him up at the station, as Dae-su is talking to his daughter on a payphone, and when his friend takes over the phone Dae-su disappears. He is imprisoned in a room with only a TV and a bed. As fifteen years go by, Dae-su is released. But find himself still trapped in a web of conspiracy and violence. He swear to avenge the people who kept him captive for all the years. But things will only get worse and worse on his road to vengeance.

Oldboy is an incredibly good movie, it is just as dark and deep as the first movie of the Vengeance series Sympathy For Mr. Vengeance. It might even be more twisted. The story is really interesting, it is allot of violent in the movie, and the end of the movie which I will not spoil is absolutely breath taking.
I believe that this is the most known movie of the vengeance series. It even has a remake from 2013, which I will not watch, because I think making a remake of such a good movie is foolish.

This movie will also get the score 10 out of 10 from me.
