15: The Movie (2003)

"15" or "15: The Movie" is a Singaporean dark comedy drama film, written and directed by Royston Tan.
The story follows five Singaporean teenagers, who are abandoned by the system, and left by their parents. They are now living a life of gangs, drugs, violence, tattoos and piercing.

I really like this movie, I love the way it is made kind of dark and taboo, with drugs, piercing and some homosexuality. The movie is absolutely beautifully made, the images in the movie are really strong and artistic. I also like the suicidal kid who cuts his arm open with a box-cutter in one scene, and how these teens fights, and parties. But they still take care of each other like brothers! Really cool movie of teenagers who are outcast of society, and have to take care of themselves. It mixed up some really depressing shit whit some obscure humor! Love it! I would say this is kind of an Asian version of Harmony Korine and Larry Clark´s "Kids" from 1995, but even more obscure, and fucked up.
8 out of 10.
