Faces Of Death Part II (1981)

Faces Of Death Part II is the first sequel to the original "Faces Of Death" (1978) and is a mondo film/ Shockumentary. The movie is written and directed by John Alan Schwartz (AKA "Alan Black", "Conan Le Cilaire"). Faces Of Death Part II follows the same vein as the original "Faces Of Death" with scenes of death, destruction, accident and police shoot outs. The movie also shows the accidental death of the stuntman Kenny Powers in the attempt to jump the Saint Lawrence River in Morrisburg with a rocket-powered car.

Faces Of Death Part II is more serious than the original "Faces Of Death" and has supposedly only one fake scene. The movie shows some really interesting deaths such as the boxer Johnny Owens who was killed in a boxing match against Lupe Pintor. This movie also has the "Death expert" Dr. Francis B. Gröss (Michael Carr). This movie is good, but to me it is as "historical" as the original, the first movie was new, and kind of taboo, as this sequel came the first one kind of already "Shocked" enough. But it is a great shockumentary, and I really like it. 8 out 10.
