Bully (2001)

Bully is a psychological crime/drama and is based on the true story about the murder of Bobby Kent. The movie is directed by Larry Clark and is based on the book "Bully: a True Story of High School Revenge" by Jim Schutze. The movie stars Brad Renfro, Michael Pitt, Leo Fitzpatrick and more.

Marty Puccio (Brad Renfro) and Bobby Kent (Nick Stahl) are two "best friends", but Bobby Kent is is a bully and is treating Marty really bad. Making fun of him, beating him up, and making him do pretty much whatever he want. After Marty and Bobby takes out two girls Ali Willis (Bijou Phillips) and Lisa Connelly (Rachel Miner) to get laid, Marty and Lisa becomes a couple. Lisa is sick of Bobby´s behavior, and the way he is treating Marty, so they decide that the only way to get rid of him is to kill him. I have always liked this movie, I have lost count of how many times I have seen it. What I think is really cool is that it is based on a true story, I have even read the book. Larry Clark has made this a really cool about disfunctional teens, using drugs, drinking, and having sex, such as most of his movies is. I am a big fan of Larry Clark, and I am also a big fan of Brad Renfro who does a great job as Marty Puccio in this movie! I think what catches me the most is the way Clark has made this a very dark and dirty film, and also the true story behind it, the soundtrack is also suiting the movie really good, old school hip hop. This is a truly awesome movie in my eyes, and I never get sick of it! 10 out of 10
